Rome, Italy - Day 1

Day 1 in Rome, Italy was rather short, only able to visit very few places.

Statue in the middle of Piazza Barberini.

The famous Trevi fountain (Fontana di Trevi).

There was a couple taking wedding photo there, how nice!

The official residence of President Italy.

Piazza Della Repubblica.

...and many more nicer photos coming next.

Annecy

Annecy is another beautiful town with a large lake. Boats can be seen everywhere besides the lake...

Nearby the lake there is a big jardin ( garden)...

L'arc en Ceil (the arc of sky) actually means rainbow. I guess it is the name of the tour boat that takes tourists around the lake.

Interested to dine on a nice boat with restaurant ?

The vieille ville (old city) of Annecy...

Pont-en-Royans

Pont-en-Royans, a small village that is thought to be most beautiful in Vercors region with houses suspended on the top of the river Bourne.

And my favourite water duck (sorry...dunno how to properly call it...the only bird I know by its name probably is Donald's duck...hahahaa!) It was a couple this time, nice.

Below photos were taken from a camping site nearby. The view there was refreshing...

I guess this is the one photo I really like most since I start playing dSLR. Simple but with very nice bokeh.

Between these 2 photos, I can't decide which one to post as they are equally great to me. So, why not just uploading both... hehee. Which one you prefer?

Pont du Gard & Avignon

It was a 2 hours plus drive to Pont du Gard, and this magnificent view was taken on the motorway in the early wee hour...

First destination...Pont Du Gard, one of the world heritage, built by Roman in 19BC.

A nice old tree...

Try to take some special angle photos and almost had to lay down on ground to take this but result was so so only... :(

Second destination, Avignon...

Pretty gal ah? Hehee...

...and the main attraction of Avignon, Le Palais des Papes.

...but photography inside is prohibited... :( - sobbing. Lastly, Le Pont de St nezet.

When we left, the day was gloomy Phew!

P.S: BTW, all these photos were taken with my new lens, Canon EFS 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS. Yeap, the wide angle distortion, CA are pretty bad but hey...I think I did enjoy this lens much more than the kit lens. Some trials with hand held on night scene photo came out very good... I'm loving it! heheee...
